What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a state of intense relaxation and concentration, in which the mind becomes remote and detached from every day cares and concerns. In this relaxed state the subconscious part of the mind is best able to respond creatively to suggestion and imagery.
It can focus on the things you wish to change and on the ways you can best do so, free from analytical or anxious thoughts. You are, however, not asleep nor are you unconscious. You are in an altered or alternative state of consciousness so messages can be passed through your subconscious mind rather than trying to make them happen with your conscious mind. The British Medical Association and the American Medical Association have called hypnosis
"a temporary condition of altered attention in the subject induced by another person."
The hypnotised people’s brains have been extensively studied and it was found that their brainwaves were similar to the patterns of deep sleep.

Your Session
At the beginning of your session, Bianca will explain the process of hypnosis and reaffirm what you want to accomplish. She will then use a very specific set of questions to encourage, facilitate and your desired outcome. She will proceed by talking in a gentle, soothing tone and describe images that create a sense of relaxation, security and wellbeing.
Very gentle, yet powerful hypnotic music will also be used to enhance the state of relaxation and receptivity. When you are in a receptive state, she will help you to visualise vivid, meaningful mental images of yourself accomplishing your goals. When the session is over, your trance-like state will end gradually and you will be brought back into your normal waking state. You will feel very relaxed, yet refreshed and empowered after the end of your session.
Contrary to how hypnosis is sometimes portrayed in movies or on TV, you will not lose control over your behaviour (or will) while under hypnosis. You will generally remain aware of and remember everything that happens under hypnosis.
Our aim
Our aim in using hypnosis is to revise the information held in mind that controls feelings, habits and behaviours. Your problems are due to habitual conditioning (habit formation), accumulated stress or unresolved events in your past then hypnotherapy can be used to access and reprogramme these complexes which are being sustained and remain active at the unconscious level.

More about Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy involves teaching you how to access a state of calm where you remain totally in control, but are able to dip into a world of complete physical and emotional relaxation.
